Reptile Wrangler Bruce Shwedick returns to the Aquarium with his fascinating reptile collection Thursday and Friday, Aug. 22 and 23. Meet Carlos the iguana, Jade the anaconda, Nugget the saltwater crocodile and Java Kaa, the 14-foot albino python in Neptune’s Theater at 11 a.m. and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. The programs are included with Aquarium admission.

Lore and legends of swashbucklers of the seas come to life in Ahoy Pirates!, an afternoon minicamp for youngsters ages 4-6 on Aug. 20 and 21. The make-believe pirates walk the plank, fire cannons, hunt for treasure, sing sea shanties and play games on the Aquarium’s pirate ship. Advance registration is required.

Get wet in Aquatic Adventurers Camp, filled with kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, field trips and oceans of fun. The four-day, action-packed session is set for Aug. 13-16 and is designed for ages 10-12. Parents can join campers on the final day for a sleepover at the Aquarium. Advance registration, a bag lunch and closed-toe shoes required for camps.
