Dinosaurs extinct? Says who? You can’t miss the comeback of several species along the Marsh Boardwalk, starting Memorial Day weekend. The bygone beasts in Dinosaur Adventure move and call as you approach. Beware – one of them can spit! For your Instagram pleasure, a tyrannosaurus rex has been subdued into a photo-op. This journey back in time is free with admission or membership. But don’t wait too long. They’re back on Earth only until September.

Wise up about owls and other native raptors and water birds with Winging It: Birds in Flight, taking off for its fifth season on Friday, May 23, the start of the Memorial Day weekend. The 2014 program features the fun premise of a field trip with a wildlife biologist and an absent-minded intern to illuminate fascinating facts about the birds, the problems they face and the solutions everyone can implement. Tickets in addition to admission required.

Want to do a good turn for the Aquarium and the planet at the same time? The answer is blowing in the wind! The aquarium is on a quest to meet all its energy needs through wind power and other renewable sources – with your help. Your purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) is matched on the Aquarium’s behalf. The goal is 4,000 RECs by summer’s end. See the Watts Up displays at the Aquarium for more.
