Ring in the New Year with a splash! Enjoy an unforgettable evening of dinner and dancing on Dec. 31 with the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores.

At 7:30 p.m., Floyd’s 1921 Restaurant serves an elegant dinner of prime rib, poached salmon and crab cakes in front of the 306,000-gallon Living Shipwreck.

The TFC Band strikes up at 9:30 p.m. for a rocking party and dance. The talented show band specializes in oldies from the 50s, Motown and classic soul from the 60s, funk and disco from the 70s and 80s, and the best in Top 40 hits from today.

A champagne toast at midnight will welcome the New Year.

Tickets for dinner and dancing are $80 for one and $150 for two. For the dance and party only, tickets are $15 each. Both options include the complimentary champagne toast. Beer and wine also will be available at a cash bar.

The event is for members of the North Carolina Aquarium Society. The membership-based group supports programs and activities at all three state Aquariums. Not a member? Not a problem. An annual family membership is available for $50, and an individual membership is $30.

Membership includes free admission for a year to all three North Carolina Aquariums and the North Carolina Zoo, plus free or discounted admission at 150 other zoos and aquariums, discounts in the Aquarium Gift Shops and many other benefits.
