Registration Opens for “Get Hooked” Fishing School

Get the right angle on your favorite kind of fishing with the North Carolina Aquarium’s third annual “Get Hooked” Fishing School.

The one-day course on Saturday, March 14 is packed with presentations by experienced anglers on all aspects of the sport. Sessions include:

• Jimmy Price – Inshore Flounder Fishing
• Dean Lamont – Fly Fishing in North Carolina
• Dr. Bogus – Shore Fishing; Pier and Surf
• Jeff McBane – Fishing on the Crystal Coast
• Joe Malat – Reading the Beach
• Bryan Goodwin – Inshore Drum Fishing
• Jeff Cronk – Inshore Trout Fishing
• Eddie Cameron – Offshore King Mackerel Fishing

The fee is $40 for those who register no later than Feb. 20, and $50 after that date. Fees are discounted 10 percent for North Carolina Aquarium Society members. March 10 is the last day to register. All sessions are at the Aquarium.

Registration includes participation in up to five sessions, a catered lunch, free goodies and drawings for fishing gear. Agencies and businesses of interest to fishermen and boaters will be on hand also.
